The Future Learning Technology Leadership (FLTL) programme is designed to empower middle and senior leaders with the skills and knowledge required to lead the future of learning technology in their organisation. This hybrid programme combines face-to-face and online sessions, ensuring a flexible and immersive learning experience. Participants will engage in a series of activities focused on various aspects of learning technology leadership, innovation and practice.

The programme is also suitable for executives.

With opportunities for reflection, collaboration and project-based learning. FLTL provides participants with new skills, knowledge and insight to lead impactful, future-focused learning technology change in their institutions.

The FLTL programme is delivered through a blended learning model, combining the flexibility of online learning with the value of in-person engagement. Over 10 weeks, participants access interactive online modules that include expert videos, collaborative tasks, and reflective activities.

Week 1 and Week 10 are in-person events.

Workshops are supported by live virtual sessions and peer discussion forums to enhance engagement and networking. The course begins and ends with face-to-face workshops held at a partner venue, offering hands-on learning, strategic planning and the opportunity to connect with fellow professionals in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

The course runs twice annually in January and April. All Participants will be expected to complete a pre-course online assessment.

Throughout the FLTL programme, participants will engage in weekly reflection activities designed to support deeper learning, critical thinking, and personal growth. These reflections will contribute to a developing digital portfolio, helping participants track their progress, evidence their leadership skills and align their learning with real-world practice. The portfolio will also support a self-assessment of skills, providing a valuable tool for professional development and future career planning.

As part of the FLTL programme, you’ll design and deliver a project within your organisation that tackles a real challenge or opportunity related to digital education. This could focus on areas such as online learning, digital strategy, AI integration, inclusion, or staff development.

Your project should aim to create meaningful impact, involve collaboration with key stakeholders, and be achievable within the timeframe. You’ll apply what you learn throughout the course to plan, implement and evaluate your project, and share your outcomes during the final leadership conference.

Each participant will receive a certificate of completion, officially accredited by a recognised CPD verification service, marking their professional development and commitment to leading digital transformation in education.
